Film Festival

 
Examine from our research and visit experience at the national and international film festivals in the Netherlands, there are regularly limited participation and contributions of African film makers.
It became us clear that films and film makers from East Africa, scarcely known are at the Dutch public and the European film industry.
In thought and discussions with many media professionals and journalists, we have decided to take the initiative to organize an annual East African film festival in the Netherlands.
Our targets is the promoting of East African filmmakers and their films; mainly from Ethiopia, Kenya, Eritrea, Sudan, Tanzania, and Uganda and/or associated producers/productions with the above mentioned countries.
In order to realise this project, in the meanwhile, we are building up our network with West media professionals and film/television world.
With this main objective, through means of our call for cooperation with existing organizations, we want East African filmmakers, their production films and the film industry development introduce to the west, initially to Dutch public.
  
Vanuit ons onderzoek en bezoek ervaring aan de nationale en internationale filmfestivals in Nederland, zijn er regelmatig in bescheiden mate de bijdragen te zien van Afrikaanse filmmakers.
Vooraal, het is ons duidelijk geworden dat films en filmmakers uit Oost Afrika nauwelijks bekend zijn bij het Nederlandse publiek en de Europese filmindustrie.
In overleg met en nagesproken te hebben met vele media professioneels en journalisten hebben we besloten om het initiatief te nemen voor organiseren van een jaarlijkse Oost Afrikaans filmfestival in Nederland.
Ons doel is het promoten van Oost Afrikaanse filmmakers en hun films, voornamelijk films uit Ethiopië, Kenia, Eritrea, Soedan, Tanzania, en Oeganda of associeerden met de genoemd landen.
Hiervoor zijn we inmiddels ons netwerk met potentiële West media professionelen en film/televisiewereld aan het bouwen te kunnen van gebruiken.
Met deze doelstelling voor ogen willen we Oost Afrikaanse films en de ontwikkeling van de filmindustrie aan het Nederlandse publiek laten zien door middel van ons oproep en samenwerking met bestaand organisaties.
